Training > Directional Drilling

From theory to field operations using BHA Management® software, DrillScan offers trainings for anyone involved in directional drilling. We perform basic directional training for junior drilling engineers or advanced directional training for experienced ones. These Training courses can be conducted on-site for groups or at distance for one person only. All our training courses are composed of 90-minute short sessions and include applications & a final evaluation.

Basic Directional Training

The aim of this training is to:
  • Get the basics of directional drilling theoretical background
  • Quick start of BHA Management® directional module
  • Design a BHA
  • Choose the bit
  • Validate DD proposal
In this module, all training examples will be provided by DrillScan. This training lasts for 2 ½ complete days or 5 half-day sessions.

Advanced Directional Training

The aim of this training is to:
  • Get the basics of directional drilling theoretical background
  • Quick start of BHA Management®
  • Post-analyze a run
  • Optimize BHA and bit design to increase performance
In this module, engineers will bring their own case studies in order to conclude the recommendations for the next wells. This training lasts 4 complete days or 8 half-day sessions.
