BHA Management® is a powerful tool for evaluating the 3D directional response of any drilling system. It couples BHA and bit design to predict the equilibrium curvature (build/drop & turn rates) of a drilling system under all operating conditions.
Pre-engineeringThis module is used to design and optimize BHA and bit coupling. We support and simulate all BHA types (Rotary BHA, BHA with variable gauge stabilizers, steerable motor BHA, rotary steerable systems BHA, BHA with reaming while drilling tools) under all operating conditions. Close collaboration with champion drilling engineers enabled us develop a user friendly tool with powerful applications such as:
- Large sensibility analysis (operating conditions, stabilizers positions & diameters, SM & RSS settings, …)
- Automatic and optimized rotary BHA design
Post-engineering
This module is designed to enable drilling engineers to rapidly analyze the directional response of any BHA run and understand underperformance problems. Difficult to assess parameters such as hole overgauge, friction factors or formation hardness can be fit to optimize next BHAs predictability.
Our current customers clearly measure the benefits of our post-analysis process compared to costly process of BHA and bit design fine-tuning based on field trials.
Database
All information is structured in a relational database that allows for the organizing & sorting of large volumes of information on BHA design and field response. This approach enables customers to capitalize on experiences that can be rapidly shared and transmitted.
