We offer services at various stages of the field/well development process. At this stage of the development, the aim is to define the best well trajectory and drillstring design to reduce friction along the wellbore. We can provide a full drillstring & BHA design proposal for each sections of the future field development based on the analysis of all today’s available techniques. Torque & drag & buckling analysis includes:
- Pick up weight, slack off weight, torque, while drilling, on/off bottom, with/without rotation
- Operating margin
- Contact forces : magnitude & direction
- Tension, torque
Drillstring Mechanics Analysis
The Torque & Drag & Buckling module of BHA Management® also allows for a complete drillstring mechanics analysis of any piece of equipment along the drillstring. As the drillstring is divided into very small beam elements, the software allows us to focus on any critical drillstring component such as measurement while drilling (MWD) tools or any electronic measurement subs. Friction reducing tools or non-rotating sleeves can also be fully evaluated through this drillstring mechanics analysis. At any drillstring location, we provide:
- Tension, torque, bending moment
- Lateral forces, rotations and displacements
- Twist & stretch of the drillstring calculation
